I will first start with my artist talk through a slideshow of how I became an artist , and how I created my style of art. After the artist talk I will then instruct a how to draw traditional northwest coast form line. You will need paper, pencil and eraser. ( If you want you can also use black and red to colour in on your own time afterward.) This part will be a bit longer then the other drawing because there are specific rules I need to teach.
To finish off I will be leading a step by step drawing of how I create my own style of work. This drawing does not have too many rules, so it should not take as long. For this part we will need a sheet of paper, pencil, eraser and a black marker. Once complete people will become familiar with how northwest coast form line is created (specifically Gitxsan ) and the process on how I create my designs basked off of first learning the traditional style.
